Sherika, from Long Island, New York, lives an active life with her wife, five sons, and one daughter. It probably won’t be long before you learn that she’s a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but something most people don’t know about her is that she played basketball in Europe for two weeks in 1997.

Sherika is on the fundraising committee and also interviews potential staff and board members. One of her favorite parts of camp is the annual dance which includes a photo booth where kids and their families can dance, be goofy, and relax. Giving families time away from their everyday lives is what it’s all about for Sherika—and seeing those smiling faces lets her know that it’s all worth it.
